Message dated May 14 was read, stating the House passed and                                         
returned for consideration CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 4(RLS) am                                         
"An Act relating to optional exemptions from municipal property taxes                               
on residential property and limiting an optional exclusion or                                       
exemption to the assessed value of $10,000 for a residence in a                                     
municipality with a total bonded indebtedness that equals or exceeds                                
$15,000 multiplied by the number of residents in the municipality; and                              
providing for an effective date" with the following amendment:                                      
                                                                                                    
          HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO.                                                       
          4(CRA) "An Act relating to an optional exemption                                          
          from municipal property taxes on residential property                                     
          owned and occupied by certain volunteers who                                              
          provide fire fighting or emergency medical services;                                      
          and providing for an effective date." (Title change

Senator Leman moved that the Senate concur in the House                                             
amendment.                                                                                          
                                                                                                    
The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House

and so, the Senate concurred in the House amendment, thus adopting                                  
HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 4(CRA) "An Act                                                  
relating to an optional exemption from municipal property taxes on                                  
residential property owned and occupied by certain volunteers who                                   
provide fire fighting or emergency medical services; and providing for                              
an effective date."                                                                                 
                                                                                                    
Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on                                    
the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date                                
clause. Without objection, it was so ordered.                                                       
                                                                                                    
The Secretary was requested to notify the House.                                                    
                                                                                                    
The bill was referred to the Secretary for enrollment.
